ORC: Week 3 Paint Colour Reveal!
It’s week 4 of the One Room Challenge, and we’re sharing the paint colour reveal!
If this is your first time here, welcome! We’re making over the kid’s new bedroom as part of the One Room Challenge. You can read Week 1 here, and Week 2 here.
Week 3 was a total fail. I was just way too tired to do anything and we had a few personal things come up. But it’s a brand new week and I felt motivated and inspired to get this room finished. I seriously hope you’re excited about this week because we are revealing the paint color we choose for the kid’s room!
We painted the kid’s bedroom Card Room Green by Farrow & Ball.
To be honest, I was a bit unsure when I placed the order for the paint. I thought maybe it would be too dark, even though secretly I’ve always loved dark paint. I couldn’t be happier with the color and I think it’s going to look amazing by the time I’m done.
The plan tonight is to place orders and to make sure the room will be ready for the final reveal in four weeks. I shared our mood board in this blog post, and the plan hasn’t changed too much. I still plan on incorporating a lot of jewel tones, which will bring a balance to the room. I’m going to go ahead and order the canopy for the crib, rug (once I measure the floors) and source some cute bedding for both kids.
DId you catch week 2 of the orc? if not read all about it here.
Okay, but let’s get back to the paint colour because I am obsessed with it! I love how beautiful the green looks in this room. I love it even more with the trim painted the same colour and the switch plates. I can’t wait to introduce patterns and even more colour to create a fun kids room.
So excited!!
Next week we will share the wallpaper installation and the week after we will a really cool Ikea Bed DIY. So make sure you tune back in every Thursday to see more!
