how I do my eyebrows and the products I use

One of my most asked questions is about how I do my eyebrows and the products I use. So I figured instead of writing out a huge answer each time I could just refer you back to this blog post.

I’m a big brow person and I wish I meant that more literally but sadly, I don’t have naturally big brows. My eyebrows have never recovered from my Christina Aguilera phase, even thou I’ve grown them out several times.

Needless to say I’ve learned to manipulate them in a way that makes it look like I have a lot more hair than I do. Today I’m going to share with you my favorite eyebrow products and how I use them.

I always recommend starting with a good pair of tweezers, and carefully pluck as little as possible. Truthfully small brows never look good on anyone. Your goal should be to tame them but not get rid of them.

Once they are all cleaned up I use Anastasia’s Brow Wiz in caramel. I try to fill in the sparse areas first, following the direction of my hair.

Next I use my favorite angled brush with Anastasia’s Brow Powder Duo and lightly fill in the rest of my eyebrows. I like the way powder looks and most people could get away with just using one or the other.

This is the part I think that makes the biggest difference and it’s the reason why people always ask about my eyebrow routine. I use a flat brush and a bit of concealer to clean up around the bottom and top part of my brows. It’s a technique I will always love doing, and this is a video if you want to learn more.

The final step is using a brow gel to hold them in place. I’ve been really loving the Benefit Gimme Brow + Volumizing Gel because the small brush grabs all the little hairs. I also brush my hair upwards using a clean spoolie just to make sure there’s no extra product on my brows.

But that’s how I do my eyebrows and the products I use. It’s simple but it makes a huge difference if you can get it right.

PS. This is my new healthy glow routine and an easy 5-minute makeup routine that I do all the time.
