Home Office Makeover with Bouclair
This article is sponsored by Bouclair. All content, words and ideas are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands we love and choose to work with.
This is by far my favourite makeover we’ve ever done in the house! It’s exactly what I had envisioned when I was planning designs for the home office. I knew I wanted organic, natural materials, with industrial features and a statement light.
Which is why I’m so excited to have partnered with Bouclair for this project, they have been a favourite home decor brand of mine for years. They were actually the first place I went shopping when I moved out of my parents home. I have so many good memories of how I decorated my college dorm with all their decor.
I still love that they “refresh any space for less”, making it accessible for first time home owners, students and anyone else on a budget. While their team of in house designers ensure they are constantly creating the latest and greatest styles for any home.
Before the Bouclair Office Makeover
The picture above is my home office before we started. There was no paint on the walls, just a bit of wallpaper in the corner and the ugly wall to wall carpet I hate.
Even thou we had an extra room, that I was able to dedicate as my office space. There we’re still times I would rather work from the kitchen table instead of my office. At the time it was crowded, and just grey. It didn’t leave me feeling inspired or creative in any way.
While we weren’t able to replace the carpet this time, because flooring was delayed. So instead we layered carpet, using a large floor rug under our new Bouclair jute rug. I love how much can change with a fresh coat of paint, new rugs, decor and some beautiful furniture.
The paint colour I choose for the walls is Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore, and trim is Simply White by Benjamin Moore.
Are you ready to see how it all looks now?
After the Bouclair Office Makeover
I am so happy with the look of this space, and I honestly think that everything we choose worked perfectly together. At first I emailed bouclair a completely different design, aiming for more of a country feel. But a recent discussion we had about moving, changed my mind and design all together.
The reason why I went for (what I like to call) an “organic industrial style” is because I think it would look great in any home, studio or space. It’s pieces I can either keep together or break apart but still look fabulous in any room.
