The Weekly Edit: Delays on the Cottage, Wallpaper & Perfect Moments

Here in Ontario we just got word that the lockdown will be extended another 6 weeks, bringing us to the end of May. Which means not only will there be stricture restrictions but there will most likely be delays in our plans for the cottage projects.

I had planned on at least having the bedroom finished by May 24th. Which is usually when the temperatures start warming up and we start spending more weekends there. Looks like we’ll be focusing on the projects we can do at home for a bit, hope you don’t mind.

But in other news, we completed Phase 1 of our bathroom renovation! Check it out HERE plus 15 arched mirrors that are just as affordable as our new mirror.

All this time at home, I recently signed back up for Netflix, Disney, and Spotify. I need options! We’ve been watching a mix of hunting shows (Tony), Spirit (Penelope), and of course, I’ve been catching up on Dream Home Makeover with Studio Mcgee. If you haven’t seen it, I highly suggest you do.

I’m searching for a way to hide our ugly recycling that sits on the front porch. It might have to be a custom made box or I was hoping to find a bench instead. We’ll see what I come up with, but here’s some options for pretty front door benches I found.

This week I’ll be sharing more about our plans for the laundry room. You might have seen my quick laundry room refresh on Instagram already, but I’ll be going more in-depth on the blog. Plus I was super inspired by the I SPY DIY X Chasing Paper wallpaper collaboration, it’s so freaking good!

I’m going to keep this week’s TWE super short because I have a ton of projects to work on and I have no childcare for the next few weeks. But I’ll leave you with this sweet picture of Penelope napping yesterday (she’s so cute!). Seeing moments like this reminds me to slow down, and enjoy every second of being home with my family.
